The Mountain Giant
The Mountain Giant | Personal Work
The biggest influence on my work and style are the cartoons and cartoon posters from the 1920's - 1940's. I have watched Fleischer Bros Betty Boop cartoons more times than I can remember. When I finally discovered these cartoons as a teenager I think the style felt new and wild. It's was a strong alternative to what I was seeing on tv and in theaters. Ever since then I've been in love with round sausage looking characters. So I wanted to do some work like those posters I love. The image above is from a doodle that I think was originally an idea for a client. Seemed like it was a good fit for a poster.
(Update: Giclée prints now available to purchase from Society 6.)
