NEW WORK | Control

Control | Personal Work

This was a bit of an experiment with trying to loosen up and see what happens. I started putting down some color in photoshop and an image of a whale in the ocean emerged. I then drew a little sketch of what I wanted to have inside the whale and then inked a final version. Below you can see the initial colors and the pencil sketch, I wanted to keep the final as close to this as possible. In the end I made a few slight changes to the shape of the whale but left the water as is with only a little bit more depth added.

NEW WORK | Review Magazine

The key to unlocking your plan | Review Magazine

For an article about the finer points of early pension withdrawals. I sometimes draw woodgrain and I sometimes just scan in some wood I find nearby. In this case the real woodgrain looked better to me.

NEW WORK | Business Week 4

Profit margin | Business Week

For an article about improving your profit margins. There was a line in the article about how profit margin trend is the most powerful indicator of a company's health. The art director Anne Russinof asked to see something that showed "health" imagery linked to profit.
